As an accredited member of the Scottish Tourist Board’s Anglers Welcome scheme, we undertake to provide facilities to meet the requirements of anglers.

Self-catering holidays for two – the perfect hideaway! Well appointed, one bedroomed self-catering holiday lodges, idyllically set in natural woodland on the banks of the River Spean. Tastefully decorated, comfortably furnished and well equipped, each lodge has one bedroom with either double or twin beds. They are fully insulated, with double glazing and controllable heating throughout, and are ideal for couples at any time of year.

We have an excellent heated drying room and lockable storage for rods and tackle, laundry facilities and a payphone. We keep information on locally available river and loch fishing, tackle shops, boat hire etc. We also display public transport timetables and a daily weather forcast.

In season, guests are welcome to fish the River Spean at Burnbank, for salmon and brown trout using fly or spinner.
We have fly fishing tackle for hire, subject to availability.

We give fly fishing lessons for beginners. Places can be booked on arrival.

Outside, each lodge has either its own veranda or private patio, overlooking the River Spean, or woodland and the Altour Burn, from which we take our name.

Our timber lodges each have one bedroom with either double or twin beds. They sleep a maximum of 2 people making them absolutely ideal for couples. Tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished throughout, they also comprise a kitchen, lounge/dining area and  bathroom, and are set in 5 acres of woodland and gardens on the leafy banks of the tumbling River Spean.

Our well-equipped kitchens have all the modern conveniences you would expect, including fridge, electric cooker, microwave,  toaster, kettle and so on, all necessary cooking utensils, pots, pans, crockery and cutlery, and of course not forgetting a cork screw. We even provide an iron and ironing board, and if there is anything else guests might need, they only have to ask.

Lodges are double-glazed, well insulated and have fully controllable heating throughout making them the ideal hideaway for couples at any time of year.
