Set in tranquil surroundings with 13 acres of lake and deciduous woods only minutes from Junction 35 of the M6 motorway, Redwell Fisheries is located in a small valley between the lovely market town of Kirkby Lonsdale and Carnforth – the ideal location for your holiday in Lancashire.

Privately owned and run, this is a perfect base to explore the coast or beautiful surrounding countryside and is only half a hour from Blackpool, the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. Ideally placed in Lancashire for your country holiday!

The fishing lakes take up about 5 acres of the site and are split into 4. All are connected and the fish have the freedom to swim in any of them. Choose your peg carefully and do not be afraid to move if fishing is a little slow on your first choice.

The Fisheries were restocked in 1997 (at a cost of over £10,000) with lots of quality Carp, some of which are now well into double figures with four Mirrors close to 30lb. Many other species also inhabit the lakes including Bream, Tench, Rudd and many interesting hybrids.

If you ask any of the regular anglers, you will find that no matter what the size of the fish they catch, the one thing that draws them in is the relaxing and secluded environment round the lakes. – I remind them to put some bait on the hook and occasionally glance at their float!

Our self catering holiday apartments overlook the lake (where you will have a reserved fishing area) and offer excellent value for money.

Touring Caravans
This is a small, beautifully situated touring caravan site, with room for 18 caravans. This site is for adults only.

Excellent amenities including a new toilet block with showers and disabled facilities.

Both hard standing and grass pitches are available (with plenty of room for awnings). Each unit has electrical hook-up points, drinking water, waste water drainage system and TV aerial point.

Camping
In addition to the touring caravan site there are two areas for camping. One overlooking the main site is more suitable for people who prefer a quieter area. For families there is a large paddock of about 3 acres of well kept grass.
