Are you tired of having to fight the crew for your rod? Then you need worry no more because we fish by the International Game Fish Association Rules. Sea Adventures has a tag & release policy for billfish and sharks and in the past have consistently released more than 90% of all billfish.
Only potential Kenyan, African or World records and those billfishes and sharks the skipper believes unlikely to survive release will be weighed in.
A new policy for 2005 is that all fish that are retained will be sold and the proceeds used for local community development projects. In this way sport fishermen are able to help the local communities strive towards poverty alleviation. All funds will be carefully monitored and projects carefully chosen to ensure maximum effect.
Children over the age of 8 yr. are welcome and this could be a good time to introduce your son or daughter to fishing. Simon’s son and daughter caught their first marlin at the age of 10 yr. and 11 yr., respectively.
For that holiday of a lifetime, a real ”get away from it all” experience, join us on a live aboard fishing safari to the very exciting and relatively unspoilt Lamu and Kiwayu Archipelago in the far north of Kenya. This area encompasses the North Kenya Banks, without doubt the most prolific fishing grounds on this coast.
There are no fewer than SIX varieties of billfish in the PEMBA CHANNEL and the possibilities of a grand slam are very real. Apart from billfish there are huge sharks (Mako, Tiger, Hammerhead to name but a few), exciting tuna fishing, large wahoo, narrow-barred mackerel, barracuda, World record size giant trevally plus many others. Broadbill swordfish abound in the Pemba Channel.
Kenya is becoming the premier destination in the World for broadbill, particularly for light tackle and fly fishing enthusiasts.
Sea Adventures offers deep-sea fishing charters into the Pemba Channel with the option of night fishing or combinations of day and night. We are also able to offer 4-10 day safaris to the north of Kenya and can pick you up from any port in Kenya. This is ideal for small groups of up to FOUR persons.
Night Fishing – for broadbill swordfish either from Shimoni or as part of a Pemba Island Safari. If you take a trip to the seamount then one night is spent fishing for broadbill as part of the trip. Or why not try one of our combo trips?
Trips to the Sea Mountain – this is 55 miles due East of Shimoni and must be done with a minimum of 2 boats. Generally we leave Shimoni at 06:30 arrive at the seamount around noon in time for the evening bite. We then fish for broadbill overnight and after fishing the early morning rise we return to Shimoni arriving at around 15:30 on day 2
Customized Safaris – We are happy to customize a safari to meet your specific requirements.
Representation – Sea Adventures welcomes ”Tight Lines Visreizen” as our exclusive agent in the Netherlands.
