Lake Posabina is situated about 2km off the main road from Sofia to Popovo. This is about a 3 hour drive from Sofia airport or 2 hours from Varna airport and 2 hours from Bucharest ( Roumania ).

Originally built in the early 60s as a reservoir for the local village of Posabina, it has been fished ever since. This 7 hectare lake has also been used for breeding carp for many years.

The lake is stocked with many types of carp from crusean and silver to our favourite common called “Old Putsi”. A few other species such as zander and grass carp have been added in small numbers to maintain a healthy balance. Regular checks are made by the local authorities to ensure all fish and water are of the highest standard.

Lake Posabina has on site facilities which include toilet, shower and bunk rooms. The site shop stocks basic foods, drinks and tackle and is staffed by English speaking assistants. 24 hour security ensures that there is always a member of staff close by should you need them.

If you want to venture further afield, the local village is a 5min drive away and has shops and bars. The nearest big town is 6km from the lake and boasts 3 tackle shops among its many attractions.

What We Supply
Bivvy, chair, bed chair, table, unhooking mat, landing net, weigh sling, sleeping bag, use of boat (subject to availability and at your own risk ) 3 rods and reels, rod pod, 3 meals per day

Meals
Meals can be delivered to your swim or eaten at the table in the dining shelter. The choice is yours. All food is seasonal and freshly prepared by our chef who was U.K. trained at Barking college Essex. You can be confident that the highest hygiene standards are met during food preparation and that the ingredients are acceptable to the English pallet.
